REDEMPTION EMBLEMS
I designed this collection of informative cards to spark modern curiosity in centuries-old Christian symbolism, drawing from sources across the world. Each "mosaic" card introduces a different symbol—complete with its story, rough timeframe, meaning, and a graphic developed from historical artwork.
Since the birth of Christianity, the redeeming story of the gospel has taken root in a variety of cultures. Many, as a result, appear in strikingly different style. Some of their artistic traditions are catholic, some are orthodox. Others were originally Jewish. Many more have reworked and redeemed imagery from pagan traditions before them. Each points us to attributes of an unchanging Father and Son, capable of bringing unity through any difference.

Each symbol is described in the card to its right. Click to learn more!

This t-shirt commemorated a summer of exploring and excavating I got to be part of in northern Jordan. I made the seven-sided star of the Jordanian flag a central element of the design and filled it with images representing different memories my team made on the trip.
